We’re an ECHO Environment Awards finalist!
Our School Council have been working incredibly hard this year again.
As with every year, they launch an Echo Initiative each spring. This year’s is called ‘The Problem with Plastic’ and its aim is to reduce plastic waste around school. So far the School Council have introduced plastic recycling bins around school and have helped our school become a ‘Plastic Straw Free School’. In recognition of this great work along with our existing eco initiatives, such as composting fruit and vegtable waste, our school has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Echo Environment Awards which take place on 26th April 2018. Staff members from school are attending in the hope that we will walk away with the award! Our school, along with the other finalists will appear in the addition of the Liverpool Echo on 23rd March. Wish us luck!
