Candlelit Evening

What an amazing display of talent!

Our children once again performed brilliantly in the Candlelit Evening fundraising event for the Angelstarfish Centre in South Africa.  It was great to see and hear children performing with such enthusiasm and talent. Well done to all the pupils and staff on an amazing afternoon and night!

Remembrance Day Art Project

Pupils enjoy Urban Canvas pavement art.

The pupils from Year 6 took part in a brilliant Remembrance Day art project at St Mary's Market today. They worked on a large scale 'pavement art' poppy with Urban Canvas. Tomorrow the Mayor, press and pupils will attend the official launch of the art work. It will be on display throughout November in the event space at St Mary's Market.

Junior Chef

Get ready for a healthy breakfast!

This week we welcome back the Junior Chef Academy.  The children will have great fun learning about healthy eating and concocting their own healthy breakfast item!

Welcome Back

Looking Great!

Welcome back to all our children and families. Our school has had a face-lift over the summer and is looking smarter than at any time in the last 100 years! Our Reception classrooms look fantastic and we are all very excited about the opening of our newly refurbished nursery.

Young Citizens' Concert

Oh what a night!

The children from Allanson Street Choir made us all feel extremely proud when they performed at the Town Hall on Wednesday evening as part of the Young Citizen's Concert. For over ten years, our school has organised the event for all primary schools in the St Helens area. It gives each school chance to nominate a young person for a citizenship award donated by Liverpool John Moores University. Well done to our Young Citizen, Bailey Jay Wellens, for the great contribution she has made to our school and her achievements as a young carer. Well done to all the choir they really were brilliant singing excerpts from Les Miserables and The Lion King.

Father's Day

Thanks to the Men!

Thank you to all the dads, grandads and uncles who came along to the Father's Day activity afternoon in school. It was great to see so many of you involved with your children. The children and staff got so much out of it. Well done and thank you!

Snow in March!

School will be open as usual this morning. If the snow continues to fall we will allow early collections from 2.30pm. We will confirm this by text message.

International Students

Today we had a visit from a group of international students from as far afield as Germany and America. They have shared their experiences with pupils from years 3, 4 and 5. Thank you to St Peter's Church for offering us this cultural experience.
