The children have been enjoying book week which ended today with the whole school celebrating World Book Day. The children and staff looked brilliant in a whole range of fantastic costumes. Thank you to all the families who visited the book fair this week.
The children and staff looked amazing in a whole range of Christmas jumpers. All the money donated will go to support Save the Children and will be doubled by the Government! Thanks very much for your support.
Well done to Year 5 for the great harvest assembly today. As part of our celebration we collected over 80 boxes to send out to The Angel-Starfish Centre in South Africa in time for Christmas. A huge 'thank you' to everyone for the generous donations.
Junior Chef were back with us in September for three fabulous days of cooking and creating. To mark the launch of French as our new modern foreign language, all the children made French crepes. Tres bien!
Today we had a goodbye assembly for our much valued Community Support Officer, Chris Bent. Chris is leaving our community after 5 years serving our school. He has helped to keep us all safe and has taught some important lessons over the years. He showed his true commitment to the Police (and his age) by scoring top marks in our Police TV theme tunes quiz. Chris will be missed by us all and we want to thank him for his work. We welcome Sophie as our new CSO.
Pupils from our school have taken part in the launch event for the Olympic 21st Legacy 'Be the Best You Can Be' project. Jenna Downing, World Champion Inline skater, shared her story and talents at the event at Langtree Park. The project aims to raise aspirations and help pupils develop a clear pathway to fulfilling their own personal dreams.
