Mrs Colligan Retires

We will miss her so very much and we know she'll miss us too!

Today in school, the children and staff presented an amazing retirement assembly for Mrs Colligan.  Mrs Colligan has had a huge influence on the lives of so many of our children and staff with her care, commitment, enthusiasm and laughter.  The assembly reflected the many different achievements, interests and fears of Mrs Colligan. The children were brilliant - well done everyone for this great send off!  We all wish Mrs Colligan well on the next part of the huge adventure called life!

You're The One That I Want!

What a Show!

The pupils from Year 6 put on an amazing show over 2 nights this week.  The end of year production was a huge successwith the very talented Mrs Dixon playing the piano and the very talented pupils singing and acting their hearts out.  Well done to everyone you should feel very proud!

Young Citizens' Concert

What have you done today to make you feel proud?

Well the children from Allanson Street Choir made us all feel extremely proud when they performed at the Town Hall on Thursday evening as part of the Young Citizen's Concert. For over ten years, our school has organised the event for all primary schools in the St Helens area.  It gives each school chance to nominate a young person for a citizenship award.  The children received their awards and a bag of treats from Liverpool John Moores University.  Well done to our Young Citizen, George Kintas, for the great contribution he has made to our school and the wider community. Well done to all the choir they really were brilliant!

A Brilliant Day!

A visit from the HMP Community Awareness Team

On Wednesday 25th April we had a brilliant visit from the community awareness team from Manchester Prison.  The team came in for the day (along with 2 of their highly trained dogs) and shared workshops with each of the year groups from KS2.  The important message shared by the team was that actions have consequences. Staff and pupils commented on what a great day it was full of activities and important messages.  Thanks to the Community Team, we hope to welcome them back in the future.
